As a child of a former GI on the run, I have
spent many years trying to find him to no avail. This search
however, gave me the opportunity to visit the country of his
birth and my ancestors on many occasions and each coming was
full of joy, each goodbye filled with sadness. I can truly say
that I love this country for the countless number of wonderful
and kind people I have met throughout my travels. I have always
been proud of the fact that I must have inherited this feeling
for kindness and love for my fellow man from my Father for
having experienced it so often on my travels I assume its part
of the American way of being. But now I have to admit I have
gone off on the idea of being associated with a country whose
leaders are so reckless and godless. No offence intended, but I
am somewhat confused because this current situation is in total
contrast to the everyday America that I know. This is not the
America of the many wonderful people that I know and love, and I
am shocked that so many good people could allow or be so
helpless as to allow such a catastrophy to unfold. I am
convinced that no God, irrespective of which religion one
believes in, would forgive what the Government of the US has
done in the past to bring about, nor is doing at present in this
crisis and no God would ever forgive the use of violence,
irrespective what cause is at stake. I believe that good will
always triumph over evil, but in believing that, I also believe
that this can only come about if we grasp goodness with both
hands and live it every minute of the day. Though shallt not lie
is the first lie because the person who said it has lied a
thousand times before. There are those who claim that a little
lie can be forgiven and is sometimes necessary to avoid pain or
suffering to others, but hand on heart... every lie I have ever
told was unnecessary and made things only worse rather than
better. I can’t help but wonder how things would stand today if
all the actors in this tragedy had been honest and avoided lying
to save their own cause. A simple commandment ignored for the
sake of??? Though shallt not kill! What’s not to understand? How
dare anybody be so arrogant as to defy such a definite command
with justifications that are based on greed and hate? I believe
that if giving is an emotion of goodness, than greed is an
emotion of evil and if Love is a blessing from God, hate is a
curse from hell. I tolerate only one form of hate and that is
hate for hate itself because that is the only way to get rid of
it. If you allow such emotions into your heart you weaken the
good inside you and the more often you do that, the weaker you
become.
A dear friend of mine in Norway complained to
me once, that she always seemed to meet the wrong type of
people, who treated her badly and made her unhappy with their
careless, reckless, selfish ways. I tried to explain to her,
that the reason she was so unhappy was perhaps because she is in
truth a good person who has been looking in the wrong places and
subsequently being finding the wrong people. You rarely find the
right persons in a bar full of drunks and finding a good persons
has become a difficult task these days because there are few of
them about. In days like these, I sense that I am right and fear
for the worst.
If self-defence where acceptable in the eyes
of God, Jesus would have tried to escape and gone to live in
Malibu, but he didn’t because he wanted to show that the only
way to overcome evil is to ban it from our hearts and our minds,
even if that means loosing all that we have. Turn the other
cheek is familiar but seldom used and rarely understood but it
is, I believe, essential if we want to find peace and happiness.
A provocateur is only effective as long as
there are people whom he can provoke and the fact that Saddam
Hussein has been tolerated and aided by the USA for decades
makes the current situation a farce that no one in their right
mind can understand or approve of. The weapons of mass
destruction he allegedly posses where sold to him, amongst
others, by the USA and the power he posses was aided and
tolerated by the very same country that now claims he must go.
The atrocities inflicted on his people where aided or at least
tolerated by the so called allies, in the last 12 years the USA
has made billions of dollars on selling weapons of mass
destruction to the neighbouring countries of Iraq who, in fear
of the threat that Saddam imposes, thought themselves in need of
such protection.
This war shows only one thing and that is
that the United States of America has more and the most deadly
weapons of mass destruction than any other country in the world.
It shows that the United States of America has the most devious
minded and godless scientist and developers who will stop at
nothing to increase their position of power. Despite the fact
that uranium enriched missiles are radioactive and have caused
the deaths of some 10.000 US Veterans since the last golf war,
and despite the fact that the level of cancer in the regions of
Iraq where such projectiles where used has increased a hundred
fold (the amount of miscarriages and births of deformed baby’s
since then is shocking and a crime beyond belief), and despite
the fact that the residue of these projectiles will remain
radioactive and harmful to all life for thousands of years, the
Government of the United States of America sees no reason
whatsoever to not use such weapons in this war! How dare they?!!
How dare they develop, produce, and deploy such weapons!
In God we trust… Amen… The President speaks
and we will obey.
The God he trusts in is not my God because
quite frankly I know that no God would ever approve of such
disregard for the basic laws of goodness and to those of you who
approve or support this act of crime to humanity I say, do not
under any circumstances come anywhere near me! Do not attempt to
talk to me or try to excuse the inexcusable for fear that in
doing so you will contaminate me with the evil that you harbour!
And spare me from the video game that is unfolding before our
eyes, a disgrace that is so well planed that you sense there are
lots of Oscars in the making. Over the last two years, the USA
has presented us with more propaganda blockbuster war movies
than ever before, each of them accompanied with the appropriate
video game for the whole family to enjoy. Over the last four
months our screens have come alive with images of every possible
type of military equipment and the workings of the US Military
so that by now we all know just what deadly power the United
States of America possesses and just how eager it is to use it
on a regular basis. Has it ever occurred to you that most of us
may not be impressed but more over appalled by what we are
seeing? How can any “God fearing” nation ever justify such
inhumane behaviour? Do you truly believe that God would be
impressed by your might? I dare anyone of you to answer with
yes! We have seen a dramatic increase in fictive TV series about
the workings of the CIA, FBI or similar agencies, all of them
working top secret with diabolically clever gadgets for every
situation. The bad guys are nearly always foreign and always
loose. Irrespective of the propaganda effect these films and
shows create, has it ever occurred to you that you have too many
enemies? Have you ever pondered to ask why? Has it ever occurred
to you, that there are enough sound-minded people in the world,
who recognise that a society that produces so much violence
based on truth is badly ailing? Moreover, how can a country that
has one of the most secretive and ruthless secret services in
the world, condemn others who have nothing less to offer? Judas
was the first and ultimate spy who’s act of betrayal showed us
that the spy who spies and denies his fellow human has lost
before he has even begun because this need to spy needs to be
prevented not nurtured or expanded. If the need arises, we have
already failed. And now that the war has begun we are being
treated to a spectacle that is truly unbelievable! On the first
night, the impression arose and imposed that the correspondents
where getting downright frustrated that nothing dramatic was
happening, the live links from one reporter to another all
basically saying the same thing, screen in screen and the
weather kindly sponsored by who really cares. Frightening to see
so many experts on the “justified form of killing”. If we miss
anything, we need not worry because rest assured, by the time
the video game and movie plus 25 year series comes out, all you
experts will have gotten the facts straight, of that we can be
sure. Have you gone completely mad? Do you honestly think that
this form of behaviour will aid your cause? Did it not occur to
you that there are people worldwide, who get the impression that
this war is nothing more than a game to you “out soon at a
retail store near you”? While people on both sides are dieing,
we are presented with pictures of George W. Bush being groomed
by the make up stylist before he goes on the air to tell the
people that, whether we like it or not, we’re going to “shock
and awe” them for the sake of peace and stability in the entire
region. Shock and awe? Is that the message the United States of
America wants to send to the rest of the world, be in awe of us?
Rest assured we already are shocked and combined with the awe
does not make for a very endearing image. At the risk of
repeating myself, your friends have already diminished and with
every day, the number of enemies increases.
Are Saddam Hussein and his regime evil? Yes,
of course, and his soul is as black as a moonless night. But I
beg you to consider that he is a product of our own making and
has now reached a level of power that reaches far beyond the
borders of his own country. This war, started on the 20.03.2003,
will bring about a change in the world as we know it and the
nations who currently would seem to be on the wining street
will, I predict, loose more than they even realised they had. I
fear the leaders of the coalition have made a grave error and
once again the people that theoretically they answer to, will
suffer for a long time to come. There are an estimated 1.6
billion Muslims and hundreds of millions of other non-Muslims in
the world who are slowly developing a deep felt hate and if just
1% of those nurture their hate for the USA and its allies, we
will have a frightening amount of Bin Ladens to deal with for
generations to come.
War against terror? A war against terror
without asking why is senseless and doomed from the start. How
desperate and how dedicated must a person be, to be able to
sacrifice his or her own life in order to seek revenge through
violence? What makes them hate? What makes them hate so much
that they plan and execute such a diabolical act? Should we not
ask both them and ourselves before such situations escalate
beyond remedy and instead of seeking immediate revenge,
irrespective of the consequences? A war against terror is a
contradiction in terms because every war is terror and by
fighting terror with terror, you become by definition terrorists
yourself. Are you sure God will approve such an obvious crime?
And if the so-called “developed world” has decided to fight this
war against terror, then why are they not fighting it in their
own homes, their own neighbourhood, their own state or country?
Looking up the definition of the word terror, ask yourself
whether this so-called war is appropriately being fought on
foreign shores. There are more homicides per day in the USA than
in any other country in the world! There are more rapes,
beatings, robberies, more corruption, more child abuse and acts
of everyday terror in the developed countries than any army
could ever combat. On TV, we are bombarded by true-life
insights into the workings of the law enforcement agencies
revealing just how clever and advanced the USA is in its daily
fight against every possible crime imaginable. Never before has
a nation shown its true character which such openness albeit
this only occurs for the wrong reasons. And in doing so the USA
has shown the rest of the world just how crippled and sick this
society truly is, a shocking insight that further alienates you
from your actual goal. An avoidable side effect, anyone wishing
to commit a crime should study such presentations very carefully
before doing so; your chances of success will increase
immensely, mores the pity. What becomes obvious is that you
don’t seem to be very successful in preventing, you are reacting
after the event instead of trying to prevent. I predict the
reason is because to fight the cause would destroy the
structures of society you have created and hey, you love your
God, but a cheeseburger and fries in a stretch limousine tastes
better. This is a war you cannot win because violence creates
violence and only if you treat the cause, and by doing so remove
the catalyst for terror and crime, will you gain peace and
stability.
I recommend that leaders lead by example and
we all make peace in our own homes before we decide to have a go
at our neighbours. The same is true for all walks of life and
anyone who claims that that is not so, is following the wrong
goal. Greed is the root of all evil and the primary cause for
the problems that the world faces today. I did not choose to
come into nor did I create the world I live in and I do not by
any form or means, agree with, or approve of what is happening
within it! I suspect I’m not the only one and in doing so
encourage all that feel the same way to make their voices heard.
Least or otherwise, mark my words, life will never be the same
again! In God we trust, but does He trust in us? I know I
wouldn’t! What about you?

Rumours as to the real reasons for the
offensive are currently making the rounds in Washington’s
society galas. Sources close to the White House (Joe’s
pizzeria on the corner of Lincoln Ave. and 5th)
claim, that Hans Blix did find a Moulinex 2000 food mixer
which US intelligence considered significant, in a plant near
Baghdad. According to other sources (Miguel’s tortilla bar
next door to Joe’s pizzeria), the mixer was “not on the list
supplied by the Iraqis” and contained a cheesecake type
substance which smelled somewhat suspicious. Despite firm
claims by Iraqi bakers that it was indeed a cheesecake mix
according to a German recipe, US intelligence reported to the
President that it was the most deadly chemical mixture yet
found in the long search for the smoking gun in Iraq. While
the Iraqi baker union considered suing US intelligence, Colon
Powell tried to convince various members on the UN Security
Council that this was the definite proof that Saddam was an
evil man who needed to be stopped before he produced more of
this substance. He pointed out that the peace initiative of
the German and French Governments was nothing more than an
obvious attempt to cover up their involvement with Saddam,
presenting the “French tool” and “German recipe” as evidence.
The Iraqi Ambassador explained however, that the reason the
cake mix smelled a bit off was due to the fact that the
backing process had been interrupted by the too early arrival
of the honoured guest Hans Blix (for whom the cake was
intended). His announcement that he hated cheesecake, forced
the Iraqis to improvise with cookies and milk and in the
confusion, the mixture was forgotten. Later that day, when
Blix inspected the kitchen to find out why he had suddenly
developed diarrhoea, he found the mixer and history took its
course. The African delegations suggestion that Saddam be
given an ultimatum to destroy all his mixers and all German
cookbooks, was turned down by the coalition partners as being
not feasible because proving compliance would be impossible.
US attempts to persuade that this was in fact “The” smoking
gun all had been looking for, finally failed when the US
Tobacco Industry Lobby further confused all the presidents’
men, by pointing out that “if the gun wants to smoke, let it
smoke. Smoking is a non-addictive pastime enjoyed by billions
all over the world.”
Now that this war
is in full battle, the progress of coalition troops is
“awesome” with enemy inflicted looses at a minimum. Despite
the fact that some of the men and women of the coalition are
somewhat discourage by the early ranting of the US Defence
Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld quote “to the forces I say, this
will be no picnic”, the rapid advance to the camping site in
Baghdad is substantial enough to justify this outing. The
early tragic “friendly incidents” resulting from Rumsfelds
announcement that the picnic was cancelled, have been analysed
and with the promise of free beer for all, resolved. Asked
about his analysis, Vice-President Dick Cheney announced that
“I have never had, nor do I ever plan to have anal sex so I
can assure you, I do not have an analysis”. He went on to say
that he was very much aware of the fact that more and more
annalists are as he put it “getting too much air time” and
that the Government is doing everything to alleviate their
suffering “but allowing our sick and diseased to speak out in
times of War” was inappropriate. In reply, Henry Kissinger
reminded the Vice President that in history, the sick and
diseased have always played the most important part of a war
and quote “its tradition and essential for any war. In fact,
both Dicky (Nixon) and I had the flue during the entire
Vietnam War and look how successful we were.”
From the front
lines, news has reached us that the campaign is going well and
the short pass on holiday greeting cards for the forces “has
been rectified” now that Umm Kasr is in coalition hands and
supply routes are secure. General Franks admitted that there
where still some “not so friendly” Iraqi who had missed their
buses, loitering around the south, but largely the area was
“safer than LA on a weekend.” On questioning from French
reporters in regard to the front offensive, Franks
acknowledged that Saddam undoubtedly “finds my front
offensive, but then again, I’m hear to get his ass, so he wont
have to look at my front for very much longer”. Asked as to
when he and his troops would penetrate what most describe as
“Saddam´s Stronghold” Franks replied that Saddam is playing
“hard to get” and is being coy but “our spears out front are
armed and ready and well oiled.” With regard to the follow up,
General Brooks confirmed that those “not so friendly” Iraqi
where a pain in the ass, but he also went on to say that the
British forces where actively “covering our backs” and quote
“we feel safe with them up our rear.”
The White House
has meanwhile confirmed that the British Prime Minister is
going to meet with the President to discuss the song list for
the planed campfire, which is scheduled to take place this
weekend. This concerning, Ari Fleischer announced, that Colon
Powell has rewritten the classic campfire song “cum by ya”
which will now be called “come by, y´all are welcome now ya
hear” and that there are plans for big names in showbiz to
perform at the jamboree. Up until now, only Christina Aguilera
has been confirmed, she is planed to sing Bush and Blair’s
favourite song “you are beautiful no matter what they say”, a
song which both listen to every morning before showering and
every night before or perhaps even during their nightly
masturbation sessions. Their wives are currently ignoring both
leaders, Bush because he went to “camp David” and Blair
because his rapidly deteriorating looks “frightened the
children.” This War has caused much suffering and the weak are
always the first to suffer. We hope therefore that both Ladies
reconsider their position and welcome back their darlings
soon. After all, they will need their hands to be strong so
they can sign the financial demand petitions to the people.
